Up to 30 Wp more power per module and improved efficiency of up to 21.8 %: Trina Solar has updated its Vertex S series. Initially, the optimised model with white backsheet and black frame (TSM-DE09R.08) will be available in 420 and 415 Wp starting October 2022.
The delivery date for the full black version (TSM-DE09R.05) is not yet determined. We will keep you informed in this regard.
Trina uses rectangular 210R cells in this new generation, which can be used in all rooftop projects (from residential to commercial roofs). Otherwise, the proven multi-busbar technology, the patented cutting technology and the high-density connection technologies are used here, as well. Changes have been made in the number of one-third cells used (144 instead of 120 cells per module) – this makes the new Vertex S slightly larger than its predecessor and thus maximises the use of glass areas up to two square metres. Due to a lower short-circuit current (Isc) of around 10.8 A, the module can be used more flexibly with inverters and module optimisers.
Production of the new module generation in Trina's super factory in Yiwu has already started. From the 4th quarter of 2022, only the 210R modules will be available. By the way, you should not confuse the new additions to the EWS range with the Vertex S+ series (TSM-NEG9.28). These are glass-glass modules with different dimensions and warranty conditions.
